Mastercard has announced the winners of its Lighthouse 2022 Fall Finale at the “Fintech & Impact: Born For This Moment” side event at Slush in Helsinki.
Lighthouse is a collaboration network that fosters symbiotic growth between banks, fintechs and Mastercard.
Meanwhile, Lighthouse MASSIV helps social impact and sustainability-focused companies scale through partnerships.
Forming part of Mastercard Lighthouse, the two programs represent the core foundations of Mastercard’s wider commitment to empower Baltics and Nordics startups to fulfill their ambitions at scale and speed.
A total of 15 fintech companies, 10 from the Nordic region and five from the Baltic region, were selected to participate in the Mastercard Lighthouse FINITIV fall program this year.
Here are the the winners of Lighthouse MASSIV and FINITIV Programme:
Lighthouse MASSIV
EcoTree
EcoTree is the Danish company won the overall MASSIV Program, due to their focus on engaging individuals and businesses in solving the climate challenge by rewarding their support of sustainable forestry. Among the finalists were also Wanda and Klimate, who joined to pitch at Slush.
Klimate
Klimate is the Danish company won the Investor Award due to its ability to engage with partners and getting the most traction from the Lighthouse investor circle with their carbon removal technologies platform.
Ignitia
Ignitia is the Swedish company won the Impact Potential Award for their potential to help 200 million farmers living more prosperous and secure lives by 2030 with their tropical weather forecasting solution.
Lighthouse FINITIV
Econans
Econans won the Overall FINITIV Program and the Swedish Class Award, for their combination of financial services with an unwavering commitment to the planet by generating sustainable personal finance, confident consumers, and higher conversion for bank and real-estate firms.
FinanceKey
FinanceKey won the Finnish class. The company was selected as winner of Finland for their deep technical expertise, highly scalable treasury solution and consistent progress.
KWOTA
KWOTA won the Baltic class for their solution that fight climate crises in an innovative way by significantly increasing material reuse.
Olpay
Olpay received the People’s Choice Award as they got the most traction from the Lighthouse community.
